It DOES get cold in the desert

Last night we had a low of 31 degrees and two straight days of overcast. I do believe this is the coldest it has been since we moved here. And, in spite of all of the chilly-ness Sissy and Sugar STILL wanted to go outside and play.

Did I ever tell you Sugar is hot in nature? No matter what the temperature is inside and out? She sleeps in nothing and if she goes to bed with something on you can guarantee it's off by morning. Well today was nothing unusual except for the fact she did not want to go upstairs to get clothes on to play outside.

So below was her solution to getting dressed. Mind you it was in the mid-40's when she was wearing this fine attire.

I guess kitchen towels and Dad's shoes have more uses than we thought.

Natty is the exact same way!

I was going to say that she is one of a kind, but apparently "Natty is the same way."

I was watching the weather yesterday morning and I told Terry it was 31 in Phoenix and he that just didn't sound right. I agree, this is the time of year when you usually get to go outside and play comfortably at the park and I get jealous!

Have fun wearing some winter clothing. I'm sure it will be back to a lovely 60-70 by next week. =)

Well, who knows, T-Lo. Maybe she'll start a new trend! Do they make kitchen towels in XL?

I love the verse you've put in your header - it's my current favorite.

I wonder if I'm the only one who made the weird connection that Jeremiah WAS a bullfrog? Too funny.

Seriously, I've adopted that verse for 2007. I'm counting on it!

That is too cute! When I first saw the picture I thought maybe she was playing waitress or something.

Seth would be out there rain or shine and it wouldn't matter what he was wearing :)

I have wardrobe battles with my girls constantly. They dress like it's the 4th of July in Phoenix ALL the time. Tank tops & flip flops. Except in July, when it's hot and humid. Then they're dying to break out the turtleneck sweaters.

I just roll my eyes and say, "Whatever."

That is a great picture!!! She definitely is doing her own little thing. We're supposed to get snow - in south Texas!! The kids here will just flip if we do. We haven't had snow in over twenty years. As for me - I've seen enough to last me a lifetime. We used to live upstate NY.

I love this. I used to be hot natured too, but in my older (Ha. That is funny to write) I am really cold natured. Love that she is wearing daddy's shoes!

I just found you after being gone for a while. It is nice to see you are still writing.

We lived in Arizona when it snowed on Easter Sunday, so I know it can happen. Love the daughter's ensemble.

That get-up is quite nice. It looks like Barney is having fun, too.

When we lived in TX and would visit my in-laws at Christmas (without snow gear), we'd put bread bags on my daughter's feet, instead of boots, and crazy stuff like that.

Watch out if she ever meets a boy from up north; she'll be agreeing to marry him in nothing flat just for the change of climate!

That is too funny! My parents are camping out in AZ right now and they've been telling me how cold it is getting, especially at night. Guess your daughter doesn't mind though!
