Y'all I need some QUICK help here...
I need to buy a new washer and dryer for the new house. The only problem is I'm having trouble deciding what to get. I think I've ruled out Maytag, after seeing some really bad feedback I read on the Neptune set I was considering.
But does anyone have any good reason why I should buy one vs. the other? I've done some research over the past few days and I'm literally stumped.
I know I want front loaders to save on water, energy, etc. The new house is set up for gas or electric but I prefer electric just for cost reasons. So please bless me with your bloggity goodness and help me figure this one out!
Thanks in Advance! :-)

Wish I could help. I'm still drooling over Richelle's new front loaders! That's ok. Good things come to those who wait, right?
I'm not sure T. I wish I could help out but we still have our old ones from like 6 years ago. I'll have to ask my Mom what kind they got when they moved. I know she loves her new ones!
Hi, I just bought new ones last year, Kenmore - HE2 front loaders and am very happy with them. My hubby did the research online with everyone's comments etc...Consumer reports actually rated the Kenmore HE3 as the best, but I went with the HE2 because I liked it's features best. It has saved us money on our water bill! and some on our electric bill!
Hope this helps!
Sorry I'm not much help there. Let us know what you choose and what you think.
Just thinking about you and wishing you best wishes with the moving truck and trip, etc.

and if you want, or want to later on they have stackable option that you just get free, if you need to save space..
Anyway I can not say how much i love my new machines.. they have cut down my laundry time by days...
We don't have front-loaders, but we've never had problems with our Whirlpool w/d. We decided against the front-loaders because the guy at Lowe's told us they get a lot of service calls & returns on them.
Whirlpool's customer service was good to come out and check our machines when I thought we had a problem - but it turned out to be just a little more noisy than it should be when the load is off-balance because our laundry room is upstairs. Above the kitchen. And the chandelier was shaking. But our problem is solved now.
I vote Whirlpool, but I'm sure they're all pretty similar. I never buy the cheapest model, or the most expensive. It's just asking for trouble to skimp on appliances, and buying the pricey ones only leads to disappointment.
Go with Whirlpool Duet. Never let us down.

After a lot of research, we still went with the Maytag Neptune. We've only had thm for 2 months but I LOVE THEM!

Just don't buy a Kenmore Calypso. I love the way mine works, but a lot of people have had trouble with them. There was even a class-action lawsuit, but only for people who had repairs within the initial warranty period. We replaced the pump/motor on ours last week, and it's less than four years old!
